EMS and Fire Suppression are both physically and mentally demanding jobs. As such, it is
essential that the District take measures to ensure that all District employees receive proper care.
Within the above line-item breakdown, there are expenses for physicals, exercise equipment, and
mental health seminars. Currently, the District utilizes IPBC Wellness Program to provide the
majority of these services. This section also includes the District’s Safety Committee, led by the
District’s Health and Safety Officer (HSO), FF/PM Casey. Overall, this breakdown displays a
holistic approach targeting the District’s goal of promoting comprehensive wellness.
