EMS Supplies & Maintenance—Negri
The EMS supply line is a catch-all for single-use items such as thermometer probes, adhesive
oxygen sensors, mega-movers, etc.; and limited-use items such as sharps containers or EKG
paper. Reusable items such BP cuffs, cables, jump bags, and other equipment may need repair or
replacement at irregular intervals depending on the frequency of use or conditions that they were
administered. Because of the unpredictable nature of using these items that may be exposed to
the elements or unsanitary conditions on calls, it is necessary to keep a line item that can
maintain the District’s equipment and periodic automatic replacement (PAR) levels.
