Technical Rescue—FF/PM Dendinger
The District’s Technical Rescue Team is a team of seven firefighters that receive additional,
advanced rescue training in five disciplines for incident response that typically occurs less
frequently but possesses a higher risk profile. Initial training includes approximately 10-11
weeks divided between High-Angle Rope Rescue, Below-Grade Trench Rescue, Confined Space
Rescue, Structural Collapse Rescue, and Vehicle and Machinery Rescue. Training continues on a
monthly basis to keep skills fresh and updated with newer concepts, and expenditures within this
budget section all contribute to maintaining quality of service for the District’s Technical Rescue
team.
