Dive/Swiftwater—FF/PM Galloway
As one of the special teams that the District offers, Dive/Swiftwater provides team members with
the assets of drysuits, a rapid deployable raft, and a 300 ft. line gun with self-inflating portable
floatation device (PFD). This equipment allows team members to initiate water rescue calls for
the various bodies of water located in the District, and ensures that District Dive-Swiftwater
team members are deployable to assist surrounding areas in MABAS Divisions 1 & 2. The
budget breakdown for Dive/Swiftwater now that these assets have been purchased is for the
annual maintenance and repair of equipment. Note: there are several capital equipment
purchases in FY26 for the Dive/Swiftwater Team. These items are not included below, but are
totaled in the Capital Improvement Program section of this document. See page 150.
