Human Services—Lt. Lane
Budget items paid for under the umbrella of “Human Services” are used primarily for ceremonial
purposes. Expenses such as the maintenance of pipe and drum items or station flags fall into this
category. Additionally, the Colorado Memorial housing and travel fees are included in this
section. These costs are put towards both a memorial ceremony for fallen firefighters, and an
Honor Guard clinic. The Annual Convention covers ceremonial topics and training as well. This
convention provides Associated Fire Fighters of Illinois (AFFI) training, which is required for
Honor Guard members.
