LETTER
FROM
THE CHIEF
"As we welcome the summer
season, we also look forward to a
special milestone in our nation9s
history, the celebration of
America9s 250th birthday. This is
a time for community
gatherings, barbecues, parades,
and ûreworks. It is also an
opportunity to celebrate safely
so everyone can enjoy the
season.
Each year, our Fire District
responds to incidents that are
preventable with a few simple
precautions. Grilling should
always be done outdoors and
away from structures, with a
close eye on open ûames. Fire
pits should be used in
accordance with local guidelines
and never left unattended.
Fireworks, while a tradition,
present signiûcant risks and are
best left to licensed
professionals at organized
displays.
This summer, as we celebrate
250 years of our nation9s history,
we are reminded of the
importance of community,
responsibility, and looking out
for one another.
On behalf of the entire Fire
District, we wish you a safe and
enjoyable summer. Thank you
for allowing us to
serve you."

STRATEGIC PLAN
2026 Overview
Strategic planning is a method employed by local governments to assess
their organizations and create a road map of future growth and
development. By utilizing this method of long-term organizational planning,
the District is able to align its annual budget, capital improvement program,
and replacement schedule with projects critical to its service delivery.
This plan will be active through December of 2027, and includes 17
short-term and long-term goals geared toward the following four priorities:
1) Eûciently Managed Resources, 2) Improved Communications, 3) Team
Development, and 4) Evolving Service Demands Met. As of April 2026, the
District is ahead of schedule with 10/17 goals completed. This includes
stabilizing EMS call volume through community-based initiatives such as
the District9s Home Safety Visit Program, identifying areas of community
risk reduction within quarterly EMS activity reports, and an emphasis on
recruitment and reducing time-to-ûll for ûreûghter/paramedics through our
Apprenticeship Program.
DID YOU KNOW ?
About Our Fireûghters
At the Bartlett Fire Protection District, every ûreûghter is also trained as a
paramedic. While some departments separate ûreûghting and emergency
medical roles, our ûreûghters are cross-trained so that advanced medical
care can begin the moment the ûrst unit arrives on scene. This approach
allows our crews to provide lifesaving treatment immediately, even if the
ûrst vehicle on scene is a ûre engine or ladder truck rather than an
ambulance.
This means that whenever you see one of our ûreûghters arrive, you can feel
conûdent that they are fully trained to help in a medical emergency. Our
ûreûghter/paramedics are equipped to provide advanced life support care
when needed. By training every ûreûghter to this level, we ensure the fastest
possible care for our community when every second matters.
