Grandparents: Getting Started® Course
Grandparents: Getting Started® is a refresher course designed for
grandparents and family members who are preparing to help care for
children. Taught by certioed Safe Sitter® instructors, this three-hour class
reviews important child care and safety skills, including injury prevention,
orst aid, choking rescue for infants and children, and child and infant
CPR. It9s a great way to stay current and conodent when caring for little
ones, regardless of prior experience.
|e course, held at Station 1, is open to both residents and non-residents.
Registration must be completed online or by calling, and class sizes are
limited to 16 participants on a orst-come, orst-served basis. |e course fee
($45) includes certiocation and materials, and all required training
equipment is provided.
