was not an opportunity for Dive drills at the time. Now, 2 drills in each category represents an expansion of District skills and a
wider variety of services that residents can expect to receive from the District’s Dive Swift Water team. The second metric
seeks to grow the dive portion of the District’s Dive Swift Water team. By ensuring all team members are fully up-to-date with
certifications, both the District’s residents and the Dive Swift Water team benefits from improved safety measures.
Investigations: Investigations’ goals frequently correspond with goals held by Community Relations, as they serve the public
in a similar manner. The first metric illustrates the percentage of Investigators on the Juvenile Fire Setter Interventionalist
Team that have received specialized Interventionalist training by the end of Q4. This team promotes a program within the
community that works towards preventing youth fire setting. By ensuring all Investigators on the Interventionalist Team are
trained interventionalists, the Investigations team displays a commitment to fire prevention and community service. The
second metric, involving the completion of fire investigations by District personnel, displays a commitment to organizational
excellence. By conducting all fire investigations (outside of large scale or high profile incidents*) in-house, the District’s
Investigations team maximizes efficiency of taxpayer dollars and District resources.
