AMBULANCE FUND
The Ambulance Fund is a special revenue fund that accounts for ambulance operations. Financing is provided by a specific
annual property tax levy to the extent that user charges are not sufficient to provide such financing. Projections for this fund
are based on the District’s long-range financial planning, beginning on page 82.

Budget Highlights:
•
The Ambulance Fund will begin FY25 with $2.2M on hand. This shows an increase from the FY24 beginning fund balance to
account for a new ambulance, and displays a commitment to continually growing the District’s reserves to account for
inflation.
•
•
Revenues in the Ambulance Fund are budgeted to increase by 5% in FY25 for a total of $10M in available funds.
Ambulance Service Fees are budgeted to increase by 11% for a total of $2.4M in revenue in FY25. This is due to a new agreement
(FY24) that has allowed increased payments for Medicaid transports.
