A BARTLET T FIREFIGHTER’S
A Firefighter’s Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is
built tough to resist flames, heat, and falling debris while
providing clean air so firefighters can work in dangerous
conditions. The base weight of a firefighter’s PPE equipment weighs 50 - 75 pounds alone, before adding essential
tools like forcible entry tools, extinguishers, and overhaul
tools. Combine that weight with the sweltering heat of a
fire and various other conditions & you can see why our
firefighters need to be in top physical shape in order to do
their job effectively.
