HYDRANT HERO
ADOPT A HYDRANT PROGRAM
With winter approaching, the Village of Bartlett and Bartlett Fire Protection District are launching the
Adopt a Hydrant program. Snow and ice often cover hydrants in the winter, slowing firefighters during an
emergency where they might need to locate water quickly.
By signing up, residents and businesses can “adopt” a hydrant near their property and commit to keeping it
clear year-round. It’s as simple as shoveling a three foot area near the curb to allow the hydrant to be easily
seen by our crew. This small act makes a big difference by ensuring hydrants are visible and ready when
needed most.

SNOW ANGELS
A NEW VOLUNTEER INITIATIVE
This 2025-2026 Winter Snow Season, Bartlett Fire Protection District is launching its first Snow Angels
Program. The Snow Angels Program is a volunteer-based initiative focused on empowering neighbors to
assist those in need within their community during the winter months.
Community members who volunteer are matched with District residents in their area who need assistance shoveling and salting their sidewalks and walkways.
If you are interested in requesting assistance or volunteering, please follow our
social media or website for updates. With any further questions, please contact our
Administration at (630)-837-3701.
